Students who are MAP testing during the week of 6/22-6/25 should: - Arrive at Snyder Primary by 8:45 for AM sessions (for am session) - Arrive at Snyder Primary by 12:45 for PM sessions. - Parents will drop students off in the drive through lane on the north side of the building by the flag pole. There will be SHS student interns that will escort your student inside the building to get them set up for their test. - Once students are done with testing, a SISD employee will call you for pick up instructions. We will be taking all safety precautions and sanitizing frequently throughout the day. Thank you for being flexible with us as we navigate this process as quickly and safely as possible. If you have questions, please let us know.

Please take a moment to watch a video from Snyder ISD Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Eddie Bland, regarding yesterday's announcements from Governor Abbott and TEA Commissioner Mike Morath. https://vimeo.com/430817921 In the video, Dr. Bland addresses possibilities and the planning process for the 2020-2021 school year. Districts across Texas await further guidance, but state officials intend for schools to resume face-to-face instruction in the fall with a virtual option for families who are not comfortable sending their children back because of COVID-19 concerns. The commissioner is scheduled to provide additional details early next week. We will provide updates as they are available. Please be sure to check our social media pages, snyderisd.net, and the Snyder Tigers app for the latest news from SISD.

Are you the parent or legal guardian of a SISD student? Your feedback is incredibly important to us. Please take special notice of the Snyder ISD Parent Survey regarding the At-Home Learning Experience during the COVID-19 pandemic. We had to quickly adapt to a different method of instruction. We learned a lot through this process and are always looking to learn more. This survey should take you less than 5 minutes to complete and will help us learn more about the at-home learning experience. This will also help us prepare for a variety of scenarios for the 2020-2021 school year. This survey will close on June 5, 2020. This an much more can be found in the SISD Weekly Updates Newsletter. https://www.smore.com/m4hz1

Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a one-time food benefit for families who lost access to free or reduced-price meals due to school closures. Eligible P-EBT families will receive application instructions from schools in early June. Families who received SNAP benefits for the month of March 2020 and have children 5-18 years old as of May 17, 2020, do not need to apply for those children. These families will receive P-EBT benefits on their current Lone Star Card by May 22. Families with children up to 21 years old who are certified to receive free or reduced-price meals during the 2019-20 school year need to apply for P-EBT. (This includes families who received SNAP benefits for the month of March 2020 and have children under 5 and between 19 and 21.) Your school district will send you a link to an online application by the first week of June. Once HHSC receives the application and verifies your eligibility with the school list, you will receive a Texas P-EBT card in the mail that includes P-EBT funds. Good afternoon! This post has a lot of important information in it so please share! Technology Drop Off/Personal Item Pickup will be on Monday, May 18th from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Here are the details that we have worked out so far: **Please drive through the north side drop off lane by the flag pole with your yellow number tag that you use for picking up your student. (If you cannot find yours or do not have one, we will use student names to get items.) You will stay in your car during the whole process! **Technology Drop Off--If you have a school-issued iPad, we will be collecting them at this time. We will need the iPad AND charger that were checked out to you. **Personal Item Pick Up--We will have all spring pictures (individual and class), yearbooks, and house shirts that were ordered to hand out at this time. Teachers will also have student's classroom items bagged up and ready to go during this process. The school nurses will also be bagging up any medications that are left at the school to give back at this time. We are hoping that having one time for all technology drop off and personal item pick up will help you guys out by having to make one trip to the school. With that being said, please be patient with us during this time as we try to get all of your student's items back to you at once. As always, let us know if you have any questions!
